Projects

Although not officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) until 2011, UHAI for Health, Inc. has been conducting screenings and providing medications in Kenya since 2006.

In 2006, our first project took place in Kimuchu village in Thika where members of the team conducted screenings for diabetes and hypertension and provided medications for 200 participants.

In 2008, we expanded to Limuru and continued working with the Thika district on screenings for chronic diseases.

In 2010, the UHAI team continued to work with the previous sites, and screened over 600 individuals, and referred 20 women to the district hospital for follow-up to the Tigoni District Hosptial for further testing for breast and cervical cancer.

2011 consisted of our largest initiative yet, where UHAI expanded its team base to include 15 professionals, and screened and provided medications for over 2,000 women, men, and children.
